"Very fun. Had a great time painting, which I hadn't done for a long time."- Min-Chul
How does paint and sip work?
Paint Pinot is not your typical paint and sip provider. We’ve levelled up, by providing delicious and freshly prepared food and drinks. We’re a fully functioning Art Café. We’ve done this to make our events as easy and fun as possible.
The only BYO with Paint Pinot is to Bring Your Own Self!
If you haven’t been to a painting café before, you may have questions about what to expect. We’ve put together a list of our most frequently asked questions and provided answers to help you out.
Can I bring BYO Alcohol and Food?
No… we have you covered! We are fully licensed Art Café that offers a full range of wines, beer and awesome cocktails plus a range of delicious food for you to purchase.
Can I paint anything I like?
One painting will be chosen per session so that our amazing artists can give you as much guidance and attention as possible. They’ll lead you through the process step-by-step so that you have an incredible piece of art to take home with you. That said, we do love individuality in our painters so don’t be afraid to throw in a bit of your own flair.
Can anyone learn to paint?
Absolutely! We strongly believe that everyone has a creative side. Everyone has at least one painting in them. And with our talented artists to lead the way, you really can’t go wrong. Don’t believe us? Have a look at our gallery to see some of the paintings produced by our past guests.
Can I take my painting home?
You sure can. After all it’s your masterpiece. We hope you’ll display it proudly in your home.
How long do Paint Pinot sessions go for?
Each session lasts around 3 hours.
Can my friend or partner come if they don’t want to participate in painting?
The simple answer is yes. And this is one of the things that sets us apart from other paint and sip providers. Our Art Cafés are large enough to accommodate non-painters who just want to socialise and have something tasty to eat and drink. We advise you check with the venue you are booking.
Can I bring my children to a painting session?
Unfortunately, we don’t have child minding facilities and cannot accommodate young children. However, teenagers over 14 years of age can come if they’re accompanied by an adult and you are both painting.
Do I need to book in advance?
Yes! It is important that you book and pay online so that we have an easel, art materials and enough food and drink to meet your needs. Because we ask people to book upfront, everything you need will be set up for you, so there’s no time wasted faffing about.
What if I can’t make it to my session?
We don’t want you to miss out on an absolutely wonderful experience. For this reason, we will make every effort to transfer your ticket to another event, providing you give at least 48 hours’ notice. If you cancel within 24 hours there is a $25 fee applied.
What if I can’t make it to a session on the days they are typically held?
Our public sessions are generally held on the same day of the week at each venue. But you can book a private event on your chosen day if you can get a group of 15 or more people together. As an added bonus, when you organise a private session, you get to choose the painting that everyone paints.
What to wear to a paint and sip?
We understand that you want to look as fabulous as your painting will. That’s why we supply an apron with a bib. But be warned, we use acrylic paint that can be removed, if it is washed out immediately, but once dry it can be difficult to remove. So, it’s best not to wear your most expensive cashmere jumper! Oh, and berets are optional.
Should I eat beforehand?
Definitely not. We have a range of delectable food available for purchase. And it’s made and prepared freshly on the premises. You can check out our menu here.
What time should I arrive?
Aim to arrive 15 minutes before your start time to get seated, order your first drinks and food. We always try to start on time to maximise your painting experience.
Do you have a question that we haven’t answered?
No trouble, get in touch with your local painting café and they’ll happily answer them for you.
